Canadiens against Hurricanes

It took seven games and 11 minutes of overtime to decide a winner, with the game-winning goal scored by Alex Newhook. In the end, it was the Montreal Canadiens who came out on top, thereby advancing to the Eastern Conference Final against the Carolina Hurricanes. Meanwhile, the series is set to begin on May 21.

Rasmus Dahlin’s heartbreaking words

For the Buffalo Sabres, their 2025–26 season, unfortunately, ended in the most heartbreaking way imaginable. Immediately after the game, Sabres players stayed on the ice with empty stares. They were still trying to process what had just happened. Moreover, the loss clearly hurt captain Rasmus Dahlin, who recorded six points in Games 6 and 7. Finally, when speaking to reporters afterward, Dahlin could not hide his disappointment. He ultimately, summed up his feelings in just three words.
“It f*cking sucks,” he told reporters before continuing.

“It comes down to small things. Today, they got the bounces. It’s one shot that decides the whole season. It sucks,” Dahlin said.
