Bruins in the wild card spot
The crucial two points put the Bruins in the first wild card spot in the Eastern Conference, three points ahead of the Ottawa Senators.
“Just a great effort. Obviously, we’re very happy to grab those two points. Huge, huge points, but I liked the response even better after a 4–2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday. The guys—we were not happy, all of us. I would say we were tight in the first 10 minutes against Buffalo, but after that I think we found our game,” Bruins head coach Marco Sturm told NHL.com after the game.
David Pastrnak chirped Paul Bissonnette
Despite Pastrnak’s three points, extending his point streak to 11 games, he had a slightly embarrassing mishap. While skating through the neutral zone, he tried to carry the puck, but it got stuck, causing him to trip over his own skate and fall. It was something Bissonnette was quick to point out on the NHL on TNT broadcast.
Bissonnette asked what went through Pastrnak’s head when it happened, and Pastrnak responded with a hilarious chirp.
“That I looked like Biz out there,” Pastrnak said as the studio showed the clip.
Next up, the Bruins will face the Minnesota Wild at home.
