Four straight wins
The Senators are on a roll right now. On Tuesday, they scored three straight goals against the Detroit Red Wings, who managed two goals but couldn’t find the equalizer. It was the Senators’ fourth consecutive win, putting them in a playoff position with eleven games left to play. The Red Wings currently sit just one point behind and also have eleven games remaining in their regular season.
Mickey Redmond – a Detroit icon
Earlier this year, Red Wings icon Mickey Redmond—who now works as a broadcaster—took time off to undergo cervical spine fusion surgery. As a player, Redmond won two Stanley Cups with the Montreal Canadiens in 1968 and 1969. In 1971, he was traded to the Red Wings, where he became a franchise icon. During the 1972–1973 season, Redmond became the first player in franchise history to score 50 goals in a season. Due to a back injury, he was forced to retire at just 28 years old. Since then, he has remained a beloved figure in Detroit through his work as a broadcaster.
Brady Tkachuk’s heartfelt gesture

“Best captain in the NHL,” one fan wrote on X.
