Erik Karlsson chirped Paul Bissonnette

On Sunday, Karlsson’s Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 5-0, with Karlsson recording two assists. It marked the Penguins’ third win in four games, keeping them in a playoff spot. Before the game, Bissonnette had predicted a Knights victory. After the game, during a postgame interview, Karlsson playfully chirped Bissonnette about his support for the Toronto Maple Leafs and his pregame prophecy.
“I was gonna ask Biz what I have to do to recruit him to get on our train because I think his is about to hit a brick wall,” Karlsson said, sending the studio into laughter.

Fans love it

Fans quickly reacted to Karlsson’s jab, joking that he shouldn’t jinx the Penguins since every team Bissonnette has supported seems to struggle: the Maple Leafs, Oilers, and Coyotes.
“Nah, let him have the Leafs. We don’t need a jinx!” one fan joked on X.
“OK, EK is my man, but I disagree 100%. We do NOT want Bissonnette on this train. His trains have: 1. Relocated, 2. Sh*t the bed in the playoffs every year since ’67, 3. Lost in the Cup Finals back-to-back years,” another fan wrote.
“EK knows everything he touches turns to a*s, right?” a third chimed in.
Next up, the Penguins will face the Boston Bruins.
