Florida Panthers’ bar tab disclosed — and it’s huge

Last week, the Florida Panthers secured their second consecutive Stanley Cup win, and the celebrations haven’t stopped for a second. Players have been chanting, dancing, and singing with the fans—and, of course, enjoying a few beers. Now, the bar tab the Panthers racked up has been disclosed, and it’s one for the history books.

We all remember the Boston Bruins’ legendary bar tab from 2011, when the players ran up a $156,000 bill at the Foxwoods Casino after winning their first Stanley Cup since 1972. But now, Brad Marchand and his teammates might have blown that bill out of the water.

Celebrated for a week

The podcast Spittin’ Chiclets managed to get a hold of Sam Reinhart, Matthew Tkachuk, and none other than Brad Marchand himself. Speaking from a pool and sipping daiquiris, the trio told the podcast what they had been up to since the win—and whether they’ve slept at all.
“Probably a couple of hours. A couple of late afternoon naps to go again, but it’s been a heck of a ride. It’s been fun, a good time. There’ve been a couple of lost voices on the trip,” Reinhart explained.

Then the camera turned to Brad Marchand, who went viral after trying to re-enter the nightclub Eleven at five in the morning, only to be held back by Aleksander Barkov. Marchand explained the situation:
“I had to go back and f*cking bring it. I know you guys have been there—you don’t leave Eleven before you get kicked out,” he told the podcast, before being interrupted by Matthew Tkachuk, who revealed the staggering bar tab.
“He was going to pay and then realized, ‘Oh, that’s a 500k comp,’” Tkachuk said, meaning the bar comped the entire bill.
“We’re treated pretty well there. They do a good job—they’re classy,” Reinhart added.
