Marchand takes a jab at Paul Bissonnette in postgame talk

The Florida Panthers managed to tie their series against the Toronto Maple Leafs with a 2-0 victory at home last night. The Panthers’ crowd was really buzzing and even got help from former Panther Keith Yandle, who banged a drum in the stands. The drum had a t-shirt on it with a chirp directed at Paul Bissonnette. After the game, the Panthers’ Brad Marchand told Bissonnette how he felt about the drum…

The Florida Panthers have proven to be just as resilient as they were last year, bouncing back from a 0-2 deficit against the Maple Leafs. With a second straight win, Brad Marchand of the Florida Panthers could look back on a very happy 37th birthday. After the game, the TV studio in Atlanta congratulated Marchand during the postgame interview.

”Biz idiot” t-shirt

But with Paul Bissonnette in the studio, you know it won’t be just about hockey—especially when it comes to interviewing his old friend Brad Marchand. As mentioned, former NHLer Keith Yandle was shown in the stands, banging a Panthers drum with a t-shirt that read “Biz – idiot,” with “Biz” being Bissonnette’s nickname.

Brad Marchand’s funny response

When it was Bissonnette’s turn to talk to Marchand, he just couldn’t help himself.
“How much did Keith Yandle, local Boston guy, help get the team going by banging the drum?” Bissonnette asked Marchand.
“He’s a legend, just an unreal guy. A real legend all over this city. It’s great to see him up there,” Marchand smiled back at the camera, knowing very well what the t-shirt on the drum said.
Game five will be played on Wednesday in Toronto. You can watch the full clip below.
