Brady Tkachuk mocks Maple Leafs fans after scoring

The Battle of Ontario between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Ottawa Senators seemed like it would be a short series when the Leafs took a 3-0 lead. However, the Senators have pushed back, winning two in a row as the series heads to Ottawa for Game Six. Following their win in Toronto last night, Senators captain Brady Tkachuk didn’t earn any new fans among Leafs supporters.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have become notorious for their playoff struggles. Having not won a Stanley Cup since 1967, the team’s current roster is stacked with talent — including Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, William Nylander, and John Tavares — yet they have been unable to capitalize on that talent in the postseason. Year after year, they have fallen short.

Two straight losses

After winning the first three games, Leafs fans began to get their hopes up. But since then, the Senators have taken two straight games, and last night, the Leafs suffered a 0–4 loss. The final goal was scored into an empty net by Senators captain Brady Tkachuk.

Brady Tkachuk waving at Leafs fans

Tkachuk, a well-known agitator who thrives on getting under opponents’ skin, did exactly that after his goal. Following the empty-netter, he celebrated by waving to the Leafs fans in the stands — a move that certainly didn’t win him any favor in Toronto.
”Hahaha amazing!” one person writes on X.
”He’s so American and I love it” another one writes.
Game Six is set for May 1st in Ottawa. You can watch Tkachuk’s celebration below.
