Aaron Ekblad

Aaron Ekblad is a Canadian defenceman who has spent his entire NHL career with the Florida Panthers, the club that took Ekblad first overall in the 2014 draft. Ekblad won the Calder Trophy as a rookie in 2015 and back-to-back Stanley Cups in 2024 and 2025, and became the Panthers' all-time leader in games played by a defenceman along the way. Florida's bid for a third straight title ended in April 2026, when the Panthers were eliminated from playoff contention.
