The Los Angeles Kings are in a pickle against the Colorado Avalanche. On the NHL on TNT broadcast, Wayne Gretzky was asked what the Kings can do differently. Gretzky’s answer had the entire studio cracking up: “Score,” he joked.
The Los Angeles Kings have not made it past the conference quarterfinals since 2014, when they won their last Stanley Cup.

LA Kings – Avalanche
And as of now, it looks like the Kings might get to go on vacation earlier than they wanted again. On Thursday, the Kings lost 4–2 at home against the Avalanche, who now lead the series 3–0. In other words, their season could end on Sunday afternoon when Game 4 is played.
“I mean, all the games have been tight. We keep saying we’re right there, but I think each guy, including myself, we have to give a little bit more. We’re doing the right things, but we just have to dig in a little more,” Los Angeles forward Quinton Byfield told reporters after the game.
Wayne Gretzky’s hilarious tip
In the NHL on TNT studio, the panel discussed what the Kings could do differently to earn a win. The question was directed at Wayne Gretzky, who played eight seasons with the Los Angeles Kings from 1988 to 1996. Gretzky’s first answer was short, and it made the entire studio crack up.
“Score,” Gretzky said jokingly, sending his colleagues into laughter. Then he elaborated:
“No, but you guys said it best. The LA are playing their hearts out, but they happen to be playing the best team in the National Hockey League right now, and that makes it tough,” Gretzky said.
