Taylor Hall loses it completely after hit, responds by sucker-punching Ilya Lyubushkin

Taylor Hall isn’t exactly known for losing his temper, but even a noted nice guy like him can get angry on the ice.

During last night’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Hall suddenly sucked punched Leafs’ defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin. The weird part? It wasn’t really because of an ugly play from Lyubushkin.

The Russian laid Taylor Hall out with a hit, and Hall responded by sucker-punching him in the face. Hall was given a two-minute penalty for the play, and Lyubushkin had to leave the game with an injury.

Leafs were already short of defensemen after Justin Holl left the game halfway through the second after getting hit in the head by a puck.

Fans are now calling for the NHL Department of Player Safety to suspend Hall, so what do you think? Was the sucker punch suspension-worthy?
