Paul Bissonnette urges Sidney Crosby to leave Pittsburgh NOW, as he points out what would be the perfect team for him

It’s been a remarkable season for Sidney Crosby. But you can’t say the same about the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Crosby has reached several incredible milestones this season, and last week, he reached the 1,000 even strength points plateau in his just 1,246th game. That made Crosby the fourth-fastest player in NHL history to reach the mark, and it came in a game that the Pens won 4-3 in OT over the Vancouver Canucks.

Many thought that win would give the Pens a well-needed spark in their late push for the playoffs. But since, everything has gone wrong.

The Penguins first lost 2-0 to the Seattle Kraken, and this weekend, they collapsed against the Calgary Flames, who turned the game around with three unanswered goals in the game’s final ten minutes to win it 4-3.

The Penguins lost their third straight game on Sunday night, as they were embarrassed by the Oilers in a 6-1 beating.

The Penguins are ten points behind the Tampa Bay Lightning in the wild card race, and it looks like Sidney Crosby will be missing the postseason for the second year straight.

Crosby, at 36, has been carrying the Pittsburgh Penguins this season. Despite the team’s disappointing season, Crosby is on pace for 44 goals and 87 points. Now, NHL analysts and podcast host Paul Bissonnette urges Crosby to leave Pittsburgh.

With back-to-back no playoffs for the Pens looking more and more likely, BizNasty claims it’s wasted to have Crosby staying.

Everyone has been taking Crosby being a Penguin throughout all of his career for granted, but Bissonnette claims he wants to see Crosby go for the Cup in Colorado instead.

”Imagine wasting the season Sid just had. That’s the biggest joke. Send him to Colorado to play with MacKinnon. Now we’re talking,” wrote Bissonnette on X, formerly Twitter.

BizNasty even called Sid’s performance this season the best of all time at his age.

”The Calgary loss was the nail in the coffin the Penguins are cooked. This is sad. Sid will miss playoffs for back to back years for the first time in his career having the best season a 36 year olds ever had. I think you get 2 more seasons like that and you wasted one. How quick can it get rebuilt?” he said.

And yet again, Bissonnette said Colorado would be the perfect move for Crosby.

”I know it won’t happen but Crosby in Colorado would blow our brains. Can we just pretend? How unbelievable would it be to watch those two play together? If I had a Genie in a bottle and got 3 wishes that would be one of my wishes no lie.”
