Paul Bissonnette ”punishes” himself after weird question

The Colorado Avalanche managed to tie their series against the Dallas Stars with a 7–4 win at home on Thursday night. Avalanche superstar Nathan MacKinnon played a key role, tallying three points in the third period. In an interview afterward, former player turned TV expert Paul Bissonnette asked MacKinnon a question that made him uncomfortable. Now, Bissonnette’s reaction is going viral in the hockey world.

It has been a hard-fought series out west between Central Division rivals the Colorado Avalanche and the Dallas Stars. Heading into Game 6, the Stars saw an opportunity to advance to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs but were unable to close out the series. Instead, the Avalanche mounted a strong push in the third period, turning a 4–3 game into a 7–4 victory. Superstar Nathan MacKinnon led the way, scoring one goal and assisting on two others.

Awkward postgame interview

During the postgame interview, TV expert Paul Bissonnette didn’t ask about the big comeback. Instead, he brought up a lookalike of Avalanche coach Jared Bednar who had been spotted in the stands during Game 5.
Confused by the question, MacKinnon responded briefly:
“Yeah, honestly I didn’t care. We lost 6–2, so it wasn’t that funny,” MacKinnon told the TV studio.

Paul Bissonnette ”punished” himself

“Biz” immediately realized his mistake and reacted in the funniest way. The well-known rascal punished himself by taking a lap around the studio, and when he finally returned to his chair, he held up his hand on his forehead to form an L for “loser.” An action that made his studio colleagues burst out in laughter.
Game 7 between the Avalanche and the Stars will be played on May 3 in Dallas. You can watch the hilarious clip below.
