The 2027 NHL All-Star Game is on Saturday, 6 February 2027, at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, home of the New York Islanders. It is a five-nation 3-on-3 tournament: Canada, the United States, Sweden, Finland and a World team play eleven games in one night for a $2 million prize. The Skills Competition is the night before, on Friday, 5 February.

When is the 2027 NHL All-Star Game?
Saturday, 6 February 2027, with the Skills Competition on Friday, 5 February. Some resale sites list the game on Sunday, 7 February. That date comes from the NHL’s original announcement in October 2025, which blocked out 5 to 7 February before the format existed. When the NHL and the NHLPA revealed the format on 2 June 2026, they set the weekend at two days.
It is the first All-Star Game in two years. The 4 Nations Face-Off replaced it in February 2025, and the 2026 season broke for the Milano Cortina Olympics instead.
Where is the 2027 NHL All-Star Game?
At UBS Arena in Elmont, on Long Island, home of the New York Islanders. This is the second time the Islanders have hosted All-Star activities. Five teams, each playing four games, make a complete round robin: every nation meets every other nation exactly once. The round robin does not decide the title. It seeds a ten-minute championship game between the top two.
Which teams play in the 2027 NHL All-Star Game?
Canada, the United States, Sweden, Finland and a World team. The World team takes players from every country outside the other four, including Russia, Czechia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Latvia and Austria.
NHL.com’s first projected World roster, published in July 2026, had six Russians among its eleven players: Alex Ovechkin, Nikita Kucherov, Kirill Kaprizov, Artemi Panarin, Andrei Vasilevskiy and Igor Shesterkin, alongside Leon Draisaitl, Nico Hischier, David Pastrnak, Martin Necas and Juraj Slafkovsky. How are the 2027 NHL All-Star rosters picked?
By the league, the players’ union, and the fans. National federations have no part in it: Hockey Canada, USA Hockey, and the Swedish and Finnish federations do not pick these teams.
- The NHL and NHLPA nominate 30 players per team, 150 in all.
- Fans vote, and the vote fills 8 of the 11 spots on each roster. Voting opens in December 2026.
- The NHL and NHLPA pick the remaining three per team: one forward, one defenceman and one goaltender.
There is no player vote. The dates for the ballot and the final roster announcement have not been published.
Who can enter the 2027 NHL All-Star Skills Competition?
Only players aged 25 or younger. That rules out Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon, Alex Ovechkin, Auston Matthews, and Sidney Crosby. McDavid won the last Skills Competition in 2024 and cannot defend it.
- Ten players, all 25 or under, selected by the NHL and NHLPA. No fan vote.
- Eight events. Each player enters four of the first six: Fastest Skater, Hardest Shot, Passing Challenge, One Timers, Stick Handling and Accuracy Shooting.
- The top four on points advance to a Shootout against All-Star goaltenders.
- The top two go on to the final event, an Obstacle Course.
- The winner takes $1 million.
What channel is the 2027 NHL All-Star Game on?
In the United States, the Skills Competition on Friday, 5 February is on ESPN, and the All-Star Game on Saturday, 6 February is on ABC. In Canada, both nights are on Sportsnet, with French-language coverage on TVA Sports. Start times have not been announced. How much are 2027 NHL All-Star Game tickets?
No public on-sale date and no prices have been announced. The Islanders say the only guaranteed route to tickets is a full-season or half-season membership. Quarter-season members get priority presale access, which is priority, not a guarantee. Official packages through NHL Experiences are listed as still to be determined, with a waitlist.
