Lip reader now reveals John Tortorella’s shocking words to referee as he refused to leave the bench after getting ejected from game

John Tortorella made headlines last week as he got into a heated argument with officials in the Philadelphia Flyers-Tampa Bay Lightning game.

Tortorella was tossed from the game but refused to leave the bench at first, as he instead stayed still and screamed at the referees.

The Flyers were down 4-0 early in the game when the heated incident occurred. Tortorella was anything but happy with how the officials handled the game, especially the fact that they handed him an ejection from the game.

Tortorella was later assessed a $50k fine for his actions, but it’s not been revealed what he said to the officials while furious on the bench.

But now, a lip reader on the social media platform TikTok, by the name of’ Jomboy,’ took it upon himself to disclose exactly what words Tortorella used during the argument with the referees, and yes, it was what we expected.

To absolutely no one’s surprise, Tortorella’s rant against the refs was full of profanities. It was also made clear that Tortorella had no intent to leave the bench without first speaking to one of the referees, who wasn’t up to it, however.

Tortorella was also handed a two-game suspension along with a hefty fine. Flyers’ owner Dan Hilferty made it clear he would pay for the fine, which fans absolutely loved.

”I’m really proud of Torts for standing up for his/our team,” Hilferty said. ”This New Era of Orange is about having each other’s backs. Last night, Torts had our collective backsI respect any action the league might feel is need to take but if it includes a fine, I am paying it.”
