Leafs fans roast Panthers fan wearing Marchand jersey

The Toronto Maple Leafs are done for the season after losing Game Seven against the Florida Panthers. The Atlantic Division rivals have seen their rivalry blossom during this second-round series, to say the least—something a Panthers fan got to experience firsthand ahead of last night’s game after being roasted by Leafs fans.

The Florida Panthers and the Toronto Maple Leafs faced each other eleven times this season, building up a fierce rivalry between the two teams. Adding to the tension, the Panthers beat the Leafs 4–1 back in the 2023 playoffs. Many Toronto fans believed this would be the year the Leafs advanced past the second round for the first time since 2002. But, as tradition has it, the Maple Leafs could not win Game Seven and lost 6–1, allowing the Panthers to reach their third consecutive Conference Final.

Leafs fans devastated

After the game, Leafs fans were obviously devastated. But before the puck dropped, the city of Toronto was boiling with excitement. Fans filled the streets, cheering and praying for a Leafs win. Now, a video of a Panthers fan wearing a Brad Marchand jersey walking through Toronto is going viral among hockey lovers—because Leafs fans didn’t let him off easy.

Walked around in a Marchand jersey

As he walked through the city, Leafs fans could be heard shouting all sorts of funny chirps at him.
“That’s going on the barbecue tonight, bud!” one fan shouted.
“Long way from Florida, eh?” another asked rhetorically.
Game One between the Florida Panthers and the Carolina Hurricanes will be played on Tuesday in Carolina. You can watch the hilarious video below.
