Almost every Utah Mammoth game is free. Utah 16, which is KUPX, carries every locally controlled game over the air in Salt Lake, and with only seven national exclusives this season that is around 77 of the 84 games at no cost. If you are outside antenna range, Mammoth+ streams them for $69.99 a year. The exception is the one game everybody will look for: the home opener is an ESPN+ exclusive.
Which channel are Mammoth games on?
Utah 16, which is KUPX-TV, a Scripps-owned station and the club’s official television home. It is free over the air in the Salt Lake market and carried on local cable and satellite. One thing to know before you plan around it: KUPX is not available on YouTube TV in Utah, and neither is KJZZ, so a household that has replaced cable with YouTube TV cannot watch this team on television at all.
How many games are free?
Around 77. Utah have only seven nationally exclusive games this season, down from eleven last year, and everything else is locally controlled. The club has not published its 2026-27 station-by-station schedule yet — last season’s arrived in late August, so it is overdue — and the exact Utah 16 count is not confirmed.
What does Mammoth+ cost?
$69.99 for the year or $14.99 a month, with single games from $5. A combined SEG+ subscription covering the Mammoth and the Jazz — more than 150 games — is $174.99 a year. Full and half season-ticket holders get the annual Mammoth+ subscription included. Those are the published 2025-26 prices and no change has been announced for this season.
Where is the Mammoth territory, and how does it overlap with Vegas?
Mammoth+ covers Utah, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Wyoming and parts of Nevada — a large map inherited from the Coyotes. It is not a clean split with the Golden Knights: Vegas claims Nevada and surrounding states including portions of Arizona and Utah, and after the Coyotes moved, Vegas expanded into Phoenix and Tucson. In practice Arizona, Idaho, Montana and Nevada are shared markets where both clubs have local coverage. Utah’s exclusive core is Utah, Wyoming and New Mexico.

Matt McConnell on play-by-play, who followed the club from Arizona, with Dominic Moore and Nick Olczyk as analysts, Sarah Merrifield rinkside and Kim Becker hosting, plus Tyson Nash on the alternative broadcast. Radio is on KSL Sports Zone, 1280 AM and 97.5 FM, with Mike Folta on play-by-play and Adrian Denny hosting.
When do the Mammoth open?
Thursday 1 October at 7.30pm Mountain, at home against Chicago — and it is an ESPN+, Disney+ and Hulu exclusive, so it is not on Utah 16 and not on Mammoth+. In the cheapest market in the league, the first game of the season is the one you have to pay for.
