The Minnesota Wild’s network has a name and a price. Wild+ carries 67 of the 84 regular-season games plus first-round playoff games, and Prime Video is the only place to stream it inside the territory, at $19.99 a month or $99.99 for the year. It is a standalone subscription: Wild+ is not included with an Amazon Prime membership, and you do not need Prime to buy it. Sign-up is at watch.wild.com.
What is Wild+?
A team-owned network, announced on 2 September 2026 and distributed through Prime Video as the exclusive in-market streaming home. The club also says Wild+ will reach fans through cable, satellite and over-the-air television; none of that carriage has been detailed yet.
What does it cost, and do I need Amazon Prime?
$19.99 a month or $99.99 for the year, and no. The Wild’s own broadcast page states it directly: Wild+ is a separate standalone subscription on Prime Video and is not included with base Amazon Prime. A free Amazon account is enough to buy it. At least one Twin Cities outlet has reported that fans need a Prime membership as well — that is wrong, and it is the thing most worth checking before you pay for anything.
How many games are on Wild+?
Sixty-seven of the 84 regular-season games, plus first-round Stanley Cup Playoff games — the Wild are the only club in this deal to include playoff games in the subscription. The local number is lower than in the other Prime Video markets because Minnesota have 17 national games, the most of the four.
Will any Wild games be free over the air?
The club confirms select games will be free over the air, which FanDuel never offered, but the individual game designations will only be published with the full broadcast schedule. No station and no game count yet.
Am I in-market?
Wild+ is sold inside the club’s local broadcast territory. The club has not published a county map for television; the radio network gives a sense of the footprint, running across Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota. Out-of-market fans need NHL Center Ice or NHL Power Play through the ESPN app.
Who calls the games?
Unchanged, which is the settled part of all this. Anthony LaPanta on play-by-play, Ryan Carter as lead analyst, Kevin Gorg rinkside, Katie Storm and Wes Walz hosting, and Alex Stalock and Lou Nanne on selected games. Radio is on KFAN 100.3 with Joe O’Donnell and Tom Reid and Kevin Falness in studio, with overflow games on KOOL 108.
When do the Wild open?
Thursday 1 October, away at Nashville. The home opener is Saturday 3 October against Boston at Grand Casino Arena. Neither is a national game, so both are on Wild+.
