How to watch the Minnesota Wild in 2026-27

The Minnesota Wild now own their television network outright, and say it will reach fans through cable, satellite, streaming and — for the first time — free over the air. What they have not said is what the network is called, which providers will carry it, which station has the free games, or what a subscription will cost. All of that is promised before opening night.

What is the new Wild network?

A team-owned and operated network, announced on 21 July 2026, with the Wild handling production, distribution, sales and marketing themselves, supported by NHL Productions. It replaces FanDuel Sports Network North, which shut down with its parent company. The club’s own broadcast page says channel availability will be shared “as agreements are finalised”.

What will it cost?

Not announced. The Wild have confirmed there will be both monthly and annual subscriptions, with pricing to come before the season. For reference, the FanDuel direct-to-consumer app was $19.99 a month — that is the price being replaced, not the new one. Do not assume they match.

Will any games be free?

The club says yes — over-the-air distribution is part of the plan, which is new. FanDuel offered nothing free. Which station carries them, and how many games, has not been announced.

Who calls the games?

Unchanged, which is the one settled part of this. Anthony LaPanta on play-by-play, Ryan Carter as lead analyst, Kevin Gorg rinkside, with Katie Storm and Wes Walz hosting, and Alex Stalock and Lou Nanne on selected games. Radio is on KFAN 100.3 with Joe O’Donnell and Tom Reid, in its sixteenth season, with overflow on KOOL 108.

How often are the Minnesota Wild on national television?

Seventeen times — two on ABC, five on ESPN, three streaming and seven on TNT. They open on the road at Nashville on 1 October and host Boston in the home opener.
