How to Watch LA Kings 2026-27: ABTV, DAZN Price

If you watch the Los Angeles Kings through Spectrum, DIRECTV or Cox, essentially nothing has changed: the same channel in the same slot, renamed. FanDuel Sports Network West is now ABTV, Angels Broadcast Television, after the Angels bought out the bankrupt network parent’s stake and took sole ownership. The open question is what happens to fans who were streaming.

What is ABTV?

Angels Broadcast Television — the former FanDuel Sports Network West, now owned outright by the Angels, who took on the production costs and the rights payments to the Kings. The Kings are on it for this season, with roughly 68 games locally.

How do I watch it?

Through your existing television provider. ABTV sits on the same channel positions FanDuel Sports Network West used: DIRECTV 692, Charter/Spectrum 320, Cox Orange County 64 and Cox Palos Verdes 53, plus Fubo and DIRECTV Stream. The first ABTV game is 26 September. ABTV says some games will also be free over the air this season, but it has not named a station or a game count — KCAL, channel 9, carried the simulcasts last season, and that has not been confirmed for 2026-27.

Is there a streaming option, and what does it cost?

ABTV’s streaming home is DAZN. LA Kings on DAZN carries local Kings regular-season games inside the Kings’ home television territory, and it costs $19.99 a month or $129.99 for a season pass. The 12 national games are blacked out on it, as they are on ABTV.

What the Kings do have is SLVR, a free channel the club programs itself along with its AHL affiliate, the Ontario Reign. It costs nothing — no subscription, no Prime membership — and you watch it on Samsung TV Plus, Prime Video or Plex. Three preseason games are confirmed for viewers in the Los Angeles area: Vegas on 19 September, Utah on 22 September and Anaheim on 23 September. The club says a regular-season schedule for the channel is coming, but has not said how many games it will carry. SLVR does not replace ABTV: the bulk of the season is still on ABTV through cable, and if you were paying for the FanDuel standalone app, LA Kings on DAZN is the replacement — $19.99 a month, or $129.99 for the season.

Where are Kings games blacked out?

The in-market territory is Southern California plus parts of the Las Vegas Valley and Hawaii. Note the quirk: Kings games are blacked out in the Las Vegas Valley on ABTV because of Golden Knights territorial rights. ESPN’s out-of-market coverage excludes all three areas.

Who calls the games?

Not announced. The Kings said broadcast information would come later and no crew release has appeared. ABTV and the Kings named the 2026-27 television crew on 25 September. John Kelly returns for a second season on play-by-play with Jim Fox as analyst, and Josh Schaefer calls selected games. Patrick O’Neal and Carrlyn Bathe host LA Kings Live, with Jarret Stoll and Daryl Evans breaking down the action. Tony Granato and Alec Martinez join as analysts on selected telecasts.

When do the Kings play?

Wednesday 30 September at Colorado on TNT, with the home opener on 6 October against Florida. Twelve games are on national television.
