Fans absolutely loved what Evander Kane said while mic’d up in the middle of a scrum surrounded by players

What a day Sunday was for the Edmonton Oilers, and especially for Evander Kane. The veteran forward had one goal and two assists as the Oilers beat rivals Calgary Flames 5-2 in the Heritage Classic outdoor game at Commonwealth Stadium.

Nobody saw the Oilers’ slow start coming, and they’ve looked terrible in most games. But in front of a 55,000 crowd, the Oilers looked sharp, and they were led on by Evander Kane, who had a busy night, not just getting on the goal sheet with three points but always being in the Flames’ players’ faces and never giving them a rest.

”I thought we got back to our foundation of how we like to play and how we need to play,” Kane said post-game. “I thought we skated really well. We were physical and if you look at the goals we scored, every single one of them was around their blue paint or creating havoc around their blue paint. That is a recipe for success for our group.”

Evander Kane was mic’d up during the game, and Sportsnet shared some of the things he said in the game during their broadcast, and he didn’t disappoint.

During a scrum along the boards, as both players and referees surrounded him, he turned to a Flames player and said, ’What are you going to do?’

Kane didn’t get a response, but he immediately followed it up by saying, ’What is anybody here going to do?’

On social media, fans found Kane mic’d up absolutely hilarious.

”Kane mic’d up is amazing,” one said.

”Kane definitely has some good one liners,” another said.

”Best. Mic’d up. Ever,” a third added.

The awesome quote from Kane came after he delivered a big hit along the boards on Nazem Kadri, who scored his first goal of the season.
