Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner take new job at supermarket, and everything goes wrong; hilarious video goes viral

There’s always a lot of talk about the Toronto Maple Leafs. They finally got past the first round of the NHL playoffs last season but fell short to the Florida Panthers, getting eliminated in the second round.

It was a huge leap forward for the organization to end their first-round drought, but expectations were higher, and fans just wait for them to make a real push for the cup.

Like so many times before, there have been discussions about Toronto’s roster and cap space, and many fans and experts feel they should trade one player from their core group, but they haven’t. However, despite all the buzz, the atmosphere in the locker room seems incredible, and as the new NHL season is coming up, the Maple Leafs have just released a video that might just be the funniest this year.

The video is in partnership with Sobeys and features stars such as Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, William Nylander, and Morgan Rielly.

Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner stepped into character pretending to be Sobeys employees by the name of ”Ashton” and ”Mitchelli”. However, everything they did and everything they said to the customers was decided by Nylander and Reilly.

Matthews, regularly one of the best players in the NHL, suddenly worked as a marker research position assistant, and Marner took a temporary position as a checkout trainee.

The video quickly went viral, and it’s easy to understand why—this is absolutely hilarious!

Nylander and Reilly do everything to embarrass Marner and Matthews as much as they can, and everything starts with Matthews handing out an apple to a young customer, but not without taking a bite of it first! We just love it when NHL stars and teams laugh at their own expense, and this is the perfect example of it. Well done, Leafs!
