The Oilers gave 5-year-old fan battling cancer time of his life, and he totally stole the show at press conference

It was a day to remember for little Ben Stelter. Aged just five, he’s battling cancer and has undergone chemo and radiation sessions to remove a brain tumor. This December, it came back, and next week, he’s going through chemo sessions again.

Ben Stelter happens to be a huge Edmonton Oilers fan, so the organization thought they do some cheering up. So last night, little Ben was given the time of his life after the Oilers got word of what he was going through. He was invited to the game against the San Jose Sharks at Rogers Place and was made the star of the night. He also was the teams’ pre-game skater and met all the Oilers players, including his favorite ones: Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.

After the game, Stelter was invited to the post-game press conference with Zach Hyman, and little Ben completely stole the show up at the podium. He even got praise from Hyman himself, stating that Ben was” an Edmonton legend.”

Ben was also asked what he thought of Hyman’s performance and said he played” really good.”
He was also asked who his favorite Oilers player are, and Ben said McDavid and Draisaitl.

” No offence taken,” Hyman said, laughing.
