Kirill Kaprizov’s goals against every NHL team, and the one that stops him

Kirill Kaprizov has scored 230 goals in 397 games, and he has scored against every one of the 32 franchises he has faced. He has drawn a blank against no club in his career.

However, one team has come very close. Toronto have played him nine times, let him take 31 shots and conceded exactly one goal.

Arizona and Utah appear as separate rows because Hockey-Reference files the relocated franchise under both names. Combined, they total 24 games, 15 goals, and 31 points, making them his joint-best opponent.

How many goals has Kirill Kaprizov scored?

230, in 397 games, at 0.58 a game. He has 245 assists alongside them for 475 points, which is 1.20 a game, and he has taken 1,398 shots.

The scoring is spread unusually evenly for a player with this many goals. Twenty-two of the 32 rows have him between six and twelve goals, and only Colorado has given up fifteen.

Which team does Kirill Kaprizov score most against?

Colorado, with 15 goals in 22 games, and it comes at a price: he is minus 11 against them, the worst plus-minus in his table. He has faced them in 22 games, and they’ve been better than his own team for most of his career.

Two divisional opponents sit right behind. San Jose have conceded 12 in 21 games and 27 points in total, his highest point total against anybody. Anaheim have conceded 11 in 22, with 88 shots against them, more than he has taken against any other club.

By rate rather than volume, the answer is different and stranger. Columbus have seen him nine times and conceded eleven goals, which is 1.22 a game. Detroit are almost as bad off: ten goals in eight games. And Boston is the line that looks like a transcription error until you check it twice: nine goals in seven games on 23 shots, a shooting percentage of 39 percent. Two independent sources print the same figures.

Which team gives Kirill Kaprizov the most trouble?

Toronto, and it is not close.

Nine games, 31 shots, one goal. A shooting percentage of 3.2 against a league-leading goalscorer. He has five assists in those games, so the row is not pointless, but no other club he has faced more than six times has held him to a single goal.

Washington are the other one: one goal in six games, on eleven shots, and a single point in total. It is the thinnest row in the whole table, and there is a neat coincidence in it. His 500th career point came against Washington on 1 November 2026, into an empty net.

Behind those two sit the Rangers, two goals in eight games on 35 shots, and Edmonton, two goals in 14 games. Edmonton is the one that needs reading properly: he has 13 assists against them, so 15 points in 14 games is a good return. It is a pure assist row, not a bad one.

Where does Kirill Kaprizov rank among goalscorers?

He is the second player in Minnesota’s history to reach 500 points, after Mikko Koivu, and he did it in 413 games. Among active players only Connor McDavid, Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin got there faster.

The league’s own measurement of how he scores is more useful than the ranking: most of his goals come from high-danger areas rather than from distance, and his hardest recorded shot is just under 87 miles an hour, which is unremarkable. He scores from where goals are scored.

That puts him in a different category from Alex Ovechkin’s record against every team, which is built on one shot from one place, and closer to Auston Matthews.
