Jaromir Jagr had 1,921 points in 1,733 NHL regular-season games across nine clubs and 24 seasons, the second-highest total in NHL history behind Wayne Gretzky’s 2,857. He scored against all 30 franchises he faced. The club that gave up most of it was the New York Islanders, and not by a small margin: 155 points in 112 games, a rate of 1.384.
The Islanders row leads every single column in the table. Most games, most goals, most assists, most points, most power-play goals, most game-winners, most shots. No other opponent leads more than two.
Then there is Pittsburgh, where he played 806 games and scored 1,079 points. As an opponent, the Penguins held Jagr to 0.825 points a game across 57 meetings, the second-worst rate in his table. Only Columbus kept him lower.

How the franchises are counted. Rows use the franchise’s current name, with the club Jagr actually faced in brackets where the name has changed. The Winnipeg Jets row needs more than a bracket: it combines the original Winnipeg Jets, who left for Phoenix in 1996, the Atlanta Thrashers, and the current Winnipeg club the Thrashers became in 2011. Jagr faced all three, and that row is therefore a composite of two cities and three identities.
Vegas is the one current franchise he never played against, and the timing is almost comic. Vegas entered the league in 2017-18, Jagr’s final NHL season, and he was on Calgary’s roster then. Calgary met Vegas three times that season, on 30 January, 21 February and 18 March 2018. Jagr’s last NHL game was on 31 December 2017. He never faced Seattle or the Utah club either, both of which came later still.

How many points did Jagr have?
One thousand nine hundred and twenty-one in the NHL: 766 goals and 1,155 assists, at 1.108 points a game, or 90.9 across an 82-game season. No player except Wayne Gretzky has scored more. Mark Messier is third with 1,887 and Gordie Howe fourth with 1,850. Assists make up 60.1% of Jagr’s total. He finished with a +322 plus-minus and 1,167 penalty minutes, and 610 of his points came on the power play.
That is the NHL figure only. He also scored 145 points in 155 KHL games with Avangard Omsk across the three seasons from 2008-09 to 2010-11, and played for Rytiri Kladno in the Czech league for nine more seasons after leaving the NHL, into 2025-26.

How many goals did Jagr score?
Seven hundred and sixty-six, on 5,637 shots, a shooting percentage of 13.6, which is fourth in NHL history behind Alex Ovechkin’s 930, Gretzky’s 894 and Howe’s 801. Two hundred and seventeen came on the power play and 135 were game-winners, with 19 in overtime and 11 shorthanded.
His goal rate by opponent runs from 0.545 a game against the Islanders, where he scored 61, down to the clubs he couldn’t beat with one: he scored 13 goals in 46 games against Detroit, and none of them won a game.

What were Jagr’s stats per game?
1.108 points, 0.442 goals and 0.666 assists a game, on 3.25 shots. The range by opponent is narrower than you might expect for a career this long, from 1.384 against the Islanders to 0.792 against Columbus, and 26 of the 30 rows sit between 0.85 and 1.25. For a player who scored in four different decades of hockey, against four distinct scoring environments, that is a remarkably flat distribution.
Which team did Jagr score most against?
The New York Islanders, by every measure. He faced them 112 times, more than any other opponent, and produced 61 goals, 94 assists, and 155 points, which is 1.384 a game. He took 386 shots against them and scored on 15.8%. Nineteen of his 217 power-play goals and 13 of his 135 game-winners came against the Islanders, both his highest totals against any club.
Carolina is second at 1.356, built on 122 points in 90 games, and that row includes his meetings with the Hartford Whalers up to 1997. Toronto is third at 1.234, and it’s where he shot best among his large samples: 34 goals on 212 shots for 16.0%.
Ottawa deserves a line of its own: 11 game-winning goals in 79 games, second only to the Islanders, against a club that shared a division with his Pittsburgh teams for most of his prime.

Which team held Jagr down?
Columbus, at 0.792 points a game, and Pittsburgh at 0.825. Columbus entered the league in 2000, and he met them 24 times. He met Pittsburgh 57 times over 11 seasons.
The Pittsburgh row is the one that rewards reading. Jagr scored 25 goals and 47 points in those 57 games, and his plus-minus against them was minus four, one of only three negative rows in his table along with Los Angeles and Minnesota at minus six each. The club where he won two Stanley Cups and five scoring titles is, by rate, his second-worst opponent.
Four clubs never conceded a Jagr game-winner: Detroit in 46 games, San Jose in 34, St. Louis in 34 and the Phoenix and Arizona Coyotes in 28. Edmonton is the strangest blank of all. Jagr faced the Oilers 39 times, scored 16 goals and 41 points, and not one of those goals came on the power play, despite 217 power-play goals in his career.
How many points did Jagr have with the Penguins?
One thousand and seventy-nine, in 806 games across 11 seasons from 1990-91 to 2000-01: 439 goals and 640 assists, a rate of 1.339. That is 56.2% of his career points in 46.5% of his career games, and no other club comes close. Washington gave him 201 in 190 games, the Rangers 319 in 277.

What was Jagr’s best season?
1995-96 with Pittsburgh: 62 goals and 87 assists for 149 points in 82 games, on 403 shots at 15.4%. It is his career high in both goals and points.
It did not win him the scoring title. Mario Lemieux scored 161 points that season, playing on the same team. Jagr’s five Art Ross trophies came in other years: 1994-95, 1997-98, 1998-99, 1999-2000 and 2000-01. He won the Hart Trophy in 1998-99 and the Ted Lindsay Award three times, in 1998-99, 1999-2000 and 2005-06.
His second-best season was 2005-06 with the Rangers, 123 points and 54 goals at the age of 34, 11 seasons after the 149-point year.
How many teams did Jagr play for?

Three of those are partial seasons split with another club: Washington and the Rangers in 2003-04, Dallas and Boston in 2012-13, New Jersey and Florida in 2014-15. He left the NHL entirely for three seasons, 2008-09 through 2010-11, to play in the KHL, then returned at 39 to score 54 points for Philadelphia.
When did Jagr stop playing?
His last NHL game was on 31 December 2017, against Chicago, at the age of 45. His only goal that season had come on 9 November 2017 against Detroit, in a two-point night.
He did not stop there. He went home to Rytiri Kladno, the club he owns, and kept playing in the Czech league, appearing in six games as late as 2025-26. Counting every league, his professional career spans parts of five decades.
