Sixty-five Anaheim Ducks games air free over the air this season on KCOP 13 and FOX 11, which is the largest free package in the league outside Seattle and Utah. The rest stream on Prime Video, which took over on 2 September after Victory+ shut down — and for this season Ducks games are free of charge to Prime members. The Ducks have no regional sports network and no radio station, which makes this one of the strangest broadcast set-ups in the league.
Which games are free over the air?
Sixty-five of them, on KCOP channel 13 or FOX 11, which is KTTV. Both are Los Angeles broadcast stations, free with an antenna and carried as locals by every provider in the market. That is more free hockey than all but two clubs in the NHL give away.
What happened to Victory+, and where are the other games?
Victory+ ceased operations at the end of August 2026 and the Ducks had already left it in July with two years still to run. Local streaming moved to Prime Video on 2 September. Everything not on KCOP or FOX 11, and not a national exclusive, is there.
What does Prime Video cost for Ducks games?
In year one of the agreement, nothing beyond a Prime membership — the club describes the games as free of charge to Prime members this season. Prime itself is $14.99 a month or $139 a year. What happens in year two has not been announced, and it is worth knowing that Columbus, Carolina, Minnesota and St. Louis pay $99.99 a year for the equivalent product.
Is there a Ducks cable channel?
No. There is no regional sports network in this market any more, so there is nothing to find in a cable line-up beyond the two broadcast stations. Between an antenna and a Prime membership you have the full local season.
Am I in-market?
The Ducks territory is unusually precisely published: Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Imperial, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties, plus Hawaii. Outside it, NHL Center Ice or NHL Power Play through the ESPN app.
How do I listen to the Ducks on radio?
Not on a radio. The Ducks left AM radio in 2022 and every game is carried on Ducks Stream, the club’s free digital audio network, through TuneIn and the club app. Aaron Cooney takes over on play-by-play this season after Steve Carroll retired following 27 years, with Emerson Etem on colour and Alexis Downie hosting.
When do the Ducks open?
Friday 2 October, away at Vegas at 7pm Pacific. The home opener is Sunday 4 October against Florida. Anaheim have only seven national games all season, so the local broadcast is very nearly the whole year.
