Two things are worth knowing before you subscribe: the network’s season pass covers six months rather than a year, and Pittsburgh are on national television twenty times this season, up from sixteen.
How do I watch the Penguins?
SportsNet Pittsburgh, jointly owned by the Penguins and the Pirates, carried by Armstrong, Blue Ridge, Breezeline, DIRECTV, DIRECTV Stream, Service Electric, Spectrum, Verizon Fios, Xfinity and a long list of regional providers. There is no over-the-air option. For streaming, SNP 360 is free if you have an eligible television login, or sold standalone.

What does SNP 360 cost?
$21.99 a month, or a $99.99 season pass. Read the season pass carefully: it covers six months, not twelve, and it auto-renews. Over a full year the monthly plan and the pass work out closer than the “save over 20%” framing suggests.
Where are Penguins games blacked out?
The territory covers all of Pennsylvania, all of West Virginia, eastern Ohio and parts of New York and Maryland. SNP 360 will not stream outside that region; out-of-market fans need NHL Power Play through ESPN.
Who calls the games?
Josh Getzoff on play-by-play, with Colby Armstrong and Phil Bourque on colour, Katie Florio rinkside, and Dan Potash and Hailey Hunter hosting. How often are the Penguins on national television?

Wednesday 30 September, away to Philadelphia at the newly renamed Xfinity Mobile Arena, at 7.30pm on TNT. The home opener is 3 October against Montreal.
