Sidney Crosby is point-per-game

Together with Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang, Crosby has led the Penguins through two decades of success. Even though the last few years have been tough, they are now back in the Stanley Cup Playoffs — a feat few insiders or fans would have predicted going into the season. The Penguins have truly come together as a team, and Crosby has once again been a point-per-game player, extending that streak to 21 consecutive seasons.
The playoff-clinching win came against the New Jersey Devils in a 5–2 victory, led by the veteran core. Malkin recorded one goal and one assist, Crosby had two assists, and Letang added another. The win means the Penguins will finish second in the Metropolitan Division and have home-ice advantage in the first round.

Fans love the interview

Afterward, fans loved Crosby’s postgame interview, saying he couldn’t hide his happiness about being back in the playoffs.
“Sidney Crosby is f*cking ready,” one fan wrote on X.
“Sid being the best player on the ice is one thing, but it’s how he carries himself that makes him the best captain in the league. No ego and no spotlight chasing. He always gives credit to his teammates and never makes it about himself, even though he easily could,” another wrote.
“You can hear the joy in his voice and see it in his eyes. It makes me a little emotional,” a third fan chimed in.
The Stanley Cup Playoffs begin on April 18.
