J.T. Miller called out after effortless play in another loss

J.T. Miller was brought in to add grit and fighting spirit to the New York Rangers. Now, he’s being called out after an effortless play in last night’s game.

The New York Rangers traded for J.T. Miller in February to bring more physicality and grit to their lineup. Ahead of this season, Miller was also named captain of the Rangers for his leadership skills.

Struggling Rangers

But so far, the Rangers have struggled. What was supposed to be a comeback season after missing the playoffs last year has instead become a rollercoaster of solid performances and disappointing letdowns. After winning three straight games, they have now dropped two in a row, including last night’s 3–2 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights.

J.T. Miller under fire from fans

Now, captain J.T. Miller is taking heat from fans after a sequence in which the Golden Knights scored their first goal of the night. It occurred in the second period, when Miller failed to clear the puck out of the defensive zone and appeared to coast on his way back as Vegas regained possession and scored.

”The laziest”

Fans on social media were not pleased with J.T. Miller.
“Please tell me he was at the end of a four-minute shift or something,” one fan wrote on X.
“Wow, that’s some of the laziest hockey I’ve seen in a long time. And I’m a Leafs fan!” another said.
“Great captain right there. Incredible,” a third added.
Next, the Rangers will face the Colorado Avalanche.
