Scott Stevens

Scott Stevens is a Canadian defenceman who played 1,635 NHL games for Washington, St. Louis and New Jersey between 1982 and 2004. Stevens captained the Devils to three Stanley Cups, in 1995, 2000 and 2003, and won the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP in 2000. Stevens is remembered above all for the open-ice hitting that made Stevens the most feared defensive defenceman of his era, and the Hockey Hall of Fame inducted Stevens in his first year of eligibility in 2007.
