The Montreal Canadiens’ Game 7 against the Buffalo Sabres was incredibly dramatic. Now, footage of former Montreal player PK Subban is going viral. The reason? His wild reaction to the Canadiens’ overtime winner.
The Montreal Canadiens drafted defenseman PK in the second round, 43rd overall, in the 2007 NHL Draft. Subban spent seven seasons with the Canadiens.

PK Subban also represented the Nashville Predators and the New Jersey Devils before eventually hanging up his skates in 2022. Meanwhile, during his years in Montreal, Subban won the James Norris Memorial Trophy in 2013 after recording 38 points in just 42 games. Following his playing career, Subban has also made a name for himself as a hockey analyst on TV. In fact, he has become very popular and is often noted for his extravagant clothing choices.
But Subban is still a true Montreal Canadiens fan — something he really proved in a video that is now going viral among hockey fans. The video shows Subban reacting to Alex Newhook’s overtime winner.
“Yeah! Yeah! Newhook, Newhook! Let’s gooo! Montreal, baby!” PK is heard screaming in the video.
