Girlfriend sends internet into a meltdown after Mika Zibanejad’s historical five-goal game

Mika Zibanejad did what could only be explained as a perfect Broadway ending last night. The Rangers’ star forward put up an incredible five goals including the OT winner against the Washington Capitals last night at the Garden.

Zibenejad became just the third player player in Rangers history to score five goals in a game, and at the same time the NHL’s seventh in the last 25 years. He now has 22 goals since Jan.1.

“The puck followed me today, I guess,” Zibanejad said postgame. “You look at the goals, some unbelievable plays were being made. Today I was at the right spot at the right time. Obviously a lot more happy that we won. It’s a night I’ll remember for a long time.”

Teammates, coaches and fans all came together in celebrating the Swedes unbelievable night. Also, Mika Zibanejads girlfriend, Irma Helin, was pretty excited about his performance and posted what probably was the best reaction of the night.

“Hahahaha. I’m dating an alien,” Helin wrote on Twitter.
