Arizona and Utah appear as separate rows because the relocated franchise is filed under both names.

Which team has Connor Hellebuyck never played against?

Winnipeg. Eleven seasons, 345 wins, and not one game against the only club he had ever played for.

That changes in November. He refused to report to the Jets’ training camp, served a suspension through the first three weeks of the season, and was traded to New Jersey on the day it expired for Dawson Mercer, Nick Bjugstad, Nico Daws, a prospect’s rights, and two draft picks. He then wrote an open letter to Jets supporters, which did not land the way he intended.

The irony in the table: His best record against any club is against New Jersey. 12 wins, two losses and one overtime loss in 15 games, at .926. He beat his new employers more comfortably than anybody else.

Which teams has Connor Hellebuyck beaten most?

Chicago, by a distance. Thirty-two games, 23 wins, eight losses, at .921. Nobody else has given him more than 18.

Calgary Flames2716-8-1.921

Three of those six are Central Division rivals he met four times a year for a decade, which is how a goaltender accumulates 23 wins against one club. Vancouver is the outlier: 18 wins in 24 games at .930, his best save percentage against any opponent he has faced more than twenty times.

His cleanest small sample is Columbus: seven wins and one loss in eight games, at .939. That is the highest figure in the table, and eight games is too few to mean much, which is worth saying out loud rather than burying.

Which teams have given Connor Hellebuyck the most trouble?

Toronto and Carolina, for different reasons.

Toronto: 24 games, eight wins, ten losses, four overtime losses, 70 goals conceded and not a single shutout. It is the only opponent he has faced more than twenty times without keeping a clean sheet, and his .904 save percentage is the worst of any club in that group.

Carolina is worse per shot: .887 across ten games, four wins and five losses. That is the lowest save percentage in the whole table, though ten games is a thin sample and should be read as one.

Two more sit in between. Tampa Bay is 10-4-1, which looks fine until you see 54 goals in 16 games and .892. And Philadelphia is 4-7-1 in twelve, the worst winning percentage of the eight clubs that have beaten him more often than he has beaten them.

The one that will be read hardest is Edmonton: 33 games, 15 wins, 15 losses, three overtime losses, 96 goals. It is his most-played opponent and his most even, against the club that kept knocking Winnipeg out.

How many shutouts does Connor Hellebuyck have against each team?

Forty-five in total, spread thinly. Colorado is the only club he has shut out five times. Vancouver, St. Louis, Nashville and Minnesota have four each, and Edmonton three.

Eleven franchises have never been shut out by him, including Toronto at 24 games, Boston at 15, and Los Angeles at 18. The two teams he has blanked relative to how rarely he sees them are Seattle, once in nine games, and Columbus, once in eight.

What happened to Connor Hellebuyck in 2025-26?

The season before the standoff was the worst of his career, and it is in the table but not visible.

He went 23-23-11 with a .895 save percentage and no shutouts at all, after going 47-12-3 at .925 with eight shutouts the year before, when he won the Hart, the Vezina, and the Jennings. One season separates the best goaltending year any Jets player has had from a year with nothing in the shutout column.

Those two seasons are both inside every row above, which is the limitation of a career table and the reason to say so. Patrick Roy’s record against every team has the same problem across a longer career.

Where does this data come from?

Hockey-Reference’s career splits page, cross-checked against an independent compilation that matches it exactly on every overlapping row.

Figures run through the end of the 2025-26 season and are updated once a year, in June.
