Keith Tkachuk is considered one of the best American-born players ever to play in the NHL. Now, his sons Matthew and Brady are established NHL stars. But Keith still sees them as his boys—and he perfectly summed up Brady in four hilarious words.
Tkachuk wasn’t just a very good hockey player who registered 1,065 points in 1,201 NHL games with the Winnipeg Jets, Phoenix Coyotes, St. Louis Blues, and Atlanta Thrashers.

Matthew and Brady Tkachuk
Keith Tkachuk was also very tough—a true 1990s NHL power forward who played an aggressive style. During his career, Tkachuk racked up 2,219 penalty minutes, something that has clearly rubbed off on his two sons, Matthew Tkachuk and Brady Tkachuk.
Both players have had great careers so far. Brady is the captain of the Ottawa Senators, while Matthew is a back-to-back Stanley Cup champion. They also host a podcast together called Wingmen.
Keith Tkachuk sums up Brady
In one episode, they invited their father, Keith, to talk about all things hockey. They also played a round of “Who’s more likely,” where Keith had to choose either Matthew or Brady in response to different statements.
“Who was or is more likely to throw a tantrum?” Brady asked.
Keith didn’t hesitate, summing up Brady perfectly in one hilarious line:
“You, Brady. You have anger issues—nice kid, though, but…” Keith responded on the podcast.
