Jeremy Swayman’s priceless reaction to having his helmet shot off

Taking a slapshot to the head isn’t something goaltenders dream about — but it happens. Last night, Boston Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman had his helmet shot off, and fans can’t stop laughing at his brilliant reaction.

The Boston Bruins defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 5–3 to secure their seventh win in a row — and their second straight 5–3 victory against the Leafs. David Pastrnak had a great night with two goals and one assist, reaching 400 NHL goals.

David Pastrnak scored his 400th goal

Pastrnak currently sits in fifth place for most goals in Boston Bruins history, and if he stays with the team, he’s very likely to take over first place from Johnny Bucyk, who tallied 545 goals. For the struggling Maple Leafs, it was a rough night to say the least. Not only did they lose their third straight game, but they also saw both Anthony Stolarz and Auston Matthews leave the game with injuries.

Jeremy Swayman has hilarious reaction

The Maple Leafs outshot the Bruins 33–32, and one of those shots — from defenseman Philippe Myers — knocked Jeremy Swayman’s helmet clean off. Now, Swayman’s reaction is going viral. The shot was hard — 94 mph, according to the commentators — and afterward, Swayman looked genuinely surprised in a hilarious way. You can watch the clip below.
