Tom Wilson mocks Radek Faksa after cheap penalty call

Tom Wilson was in the penalty box when the Dallas Stars scored the only goal of the game last night. But Wilson thought the call was an embellishment — something he made clear at the time — and fans can’t stop laughing about it.

The Washington Capitals fell short, losing 1–0 to the Dallas Stars after conceding a goal on a Dallas power play. They currently sit in sixth place in the Eastern Conference. The goal occurred after Tom Wilson was called for hooking Radek Faksa.

Tom Wilson mocks Radek Faksa

However, Wilson didn’t believe it should have been a hooking call, arguing that Faksa went down too easily — something the ever-teasing forward pointed out very clearly to both Faksa and the officials, much to the amusement of fans.

Fans love it

In a video from the game, Wilson can be seen dropping to one knee and dramatically waving his arms, twice, suggesting Faksa took a dive to draw the penalty.
“A national treasure,” one fan wrote on X.
“Tom Wilson is the best,” another added.
“He’s so animated — I love it,” a third chimed in.
Next up, the Capitals will play the New York Islanders, while the Stars will head out on a Florida road trip to face the Tampa Bay Lightning.
