The Toronto Maple Leafs are in a pickle, to say the least. After being up 2–0 in the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs against the Florida Panthers, they have now lost three games in a row. Leafs fans are beside themselves. In a video now going viral among hockey lovers, a Leafs fan is seen reacting to the Panthers’ third goal last night.
The Toronto Maple Leafs lost 6–1 and are now standing with one foot on the golf course, trailing 3–2 in their series against the Panthers, with Game Six to be played in Sunrise. Fans are beginning to believe that the curse of the Maple Leafs will last yet another year. During last night’s blowout loss, fans booed their own team, threw Leafs jerseys onto the ice, and even left the game in frustration.
Hilarious reaction to Toronto’s mistake
In the middle of the second period, the Panthers scored their third goal on a breakaway, following a giveaway by Mitch Marner that left fans furious. One fan, Steve Dangle—who livestreams while watching Maple Leafs games—had a reaction to the 3–0 goal that is now going viral among hockey fans.
