Erik Karlsson is set to return to the lineup tonight and fans are hyped. The Senators captain has been on the shelf long enough; it’s time one of the NHL’s top defenders returns to the lineup. It’s long overdue that the Swedish leader stepped up the ice this season.

Ottawa has persevered without their Captain, kicking off the first five games of the season with a 3-0-2 record. The Senators recently completed a road-trip out West, winning all three games against Vancouver (3-2, SO), Calgary (6-0) and Edmonton (6-1).
