Mitch Marner fools entire Sharks team with insane highlight reel goal

After a three game winning streak, the Maple Leafs posted a 5-2 defeated against the San Jose Sharks last night.

But even thought they lost, Mitch Marner stole the highlights with an insane goal.

Late in the second period, with the Maple Leafs trailing 2-1, Auston Matthews made a pass to Marner in the offensive zone. Marner went between his legs, going past two Sharks’ players before sending a backhand shot past goalie Martin Jones.

The goal was his 16th of the season and 65th point total.

“Honestly, we both weren’t sure if it was offsides so we were nervous about that. (Matthews) made a nice play to me. I didn’t really see any other options other than to do that and lucky enough it worked out,” Marner said after the game.

It wasn’t the first time Marner’s pulled out a sweet between the legs dangle.

Playing for the London Knights in the OHL, Marner did filthy things to defenders as well.
