500 NHLers Have Voted: He’s the Leagues Toughest Player

The data gives a good idea as to what the talent of the NHL are thinking. One question was the league’s toughest player, and a Vegas Golden Knight is walking away with the honors.

With a resounding 44.7%, Ryan Reaves has been voted by his peers as the toughest player to play against. Reaves grew up in a football family and one day thought he would be a football player.

Obviously, Reaves ended up being a hockey player and is clearly making an impact. In 5-games with the Knights this season, Reaves has already picked up 13 hits.

Other players listed include Milan Lucic (14.8%), Zdeno Chara (4.0%), Micheal Haley (3.2%) and Matt Martin (2.7%).

What do you think of the vote? Does Reaves deserve the credit he is given from other NHL talent?
