Watch as projected No. 1 pick in 2018 scores new wonder goal

Swedish defenceman Rasmus Dahlin, who could potentially be the first overall pick next draft, continues to showcase his skills at the highest level. In a Champions League Hockey game, Dahlin put Frolunda HC on his back.

Rasmus Dahlin used his slick skating ability to evade an opposing Liberec player before tucking the puck into the net on his backhand. It was a world-class play from a kid – Dahlin is only 17 years old.
The spectacular move was the game-winning goal and helped Swedish side Frolunda beat Liberec 3-2 in the round of 16 of the Champions Hockey League (CHL).

These teams meet again on November 7th. With Frolunda this season, Dahlin has recorded 6 points in 14 games. Dahlin continues to make his case as to why he should be the number one overall draft pick.

The last defenceman to be selected first overall was Aaron Ekblad, who now plays for the Florida Panthers. Mats Sundin was the last Swedish player to be selected number one overall. However, Dahlin might be the next one in line.
